My last semester - a bit burned out on school right now. Burned out on life right now, too, I guess. I'll be back, though...

God, that balmy little introduction has been stuck in my journal space for six months now - high time it was let go, I say. School was hell this semester... trying to work and attend class and keep my personal life together was nearly enough to overwhelm me. But I made it.

Now I want to read some outstanding books which I've been neglecting for too long. I also want to keep on printing during my winter vacation - ideally I would like to print all of the stationery on which I send ~ novenarik's letters. And I'm also planning and experimenting for more printmaking ventures starting in January (spring semester).

So, I have a good friend in Orem, Utah that has amazed me over and over again with the vector work he puts up on deviantART. I do a little bit of graphic design as well, but lately I've found myself drifting towards some of the more "hands-on" media, like printmaking, photography, and collage. Now that I'm starting to finally build up a small portfolio, I figured that it was time I put my own work up as part of an online community.

I've loved deviantART ever since I started visiting. I haven't actually purchased my subscription yet, because I was waiting to see how worthwhile this little venture would be. I've been very pleased with the results already, and amazed at how fast the comments started appearing. If I haven't acknowledged someone's compliments, thank you all, and forgive me while I get used to this whole environment.
