Artist's Comments

This is a new take on an old idea - my graphic design assignment was to create a poster illustrating my opinion of Bush's war in Iraq. So I took an old poster from World War II and put what I hope is a more satirical, contemporary spin on it. You can see the original poster in my Scraps, here.

I printed this at 12" x 18", but shrunk it down for submission here, so it would load faster.

I felt kind of like it was a cop out - to use an old war poster - but I wanted to use the idealism of previous wars to really parody Bush's own motivations. Thanks for the compliment!

They usualy are, but you turned it around enough to make it a truely clever parody.

good to see some half decent political art on DA! lovely satire, I think this is very effective - with that old propaganda feel.
